VFX - Visual effects (VFX) is a term used to describe imagery created, manipulated, or enhanced for any film, or other moving media that cannot take place during live-action shooting.

    Techniques

  • Matte Painting (Combining multiple images to create one)
  • Physical Simulators (Creates dynamic simulations)
  • Green Screen
SFX - Special effects (often abbreviated as SFX, SPFX, F/X or simply FX) are illusions or visual tricks used in the theatre, film, television, video game and simulator industries to simulate the imagined events in a story or virtual world.

    Techniques
  • Dolly Zoom
  • Prosthetic Makeup effects
  • Optical Printer (Projector linked up to the camera)

  • Cable and Wire Systems
  • Fire protective clothing
  • Compressed Air
